Space-Saving Design Small and compact design makes it great for apartments, the office and small bedrooms.

The Guardian Technologies™ PureGuardian® Ultrasonic Humidifier uses a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency to create water droplets that are expelled out into the room to help maintain the desired humidity level. An ultrasonic humidifier is virtually silent when operating.
Why should I use a humidifier? People need a certain level of humidity to be comfortable. In the winter, indoor humidity can be extremely low, and the lack of humidity can dry out your skin and mucous membranes. Low humidity also makes the air feel colder than it actually is. Dry air can also dry out the wood in the walls and floors of our houses. As the drying wood shrinks, it can cause creaks in floors and cracks in drywall and plaster. Dry air also increases static electricity.
Does the product require regular cleaning? It is recommended to wipe out the water tank and base of the product on a regular basis; approximately every 1-2 weeks (depending on use). The Guardian Technologies™ PureGuardian® Ultrasonic Humidifier has Silver Clean™ technology in the water tank, which helps to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank.
When storing the unit, it is recommended to pour any excess water out and clean it with a soft, damp cloth. Let dry completely before storing.
Are there any wicks or evaporating pads to replace? There are no wicks or pads to replace.
What is ultrasonic technology? An ultrasonic humidifier uses a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency to create water droplets. Thanks to ultrasonic technology, the Guardian Technologies™ humidifier is virtually silent when running, making it easy to have on while you sleep.
What is Silver Clean™ technology, and why is it used in your humidifier? Silver Clean™ technology is small particles of silver embedded in the tank to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank.
Where should I use the product? It is recommended that you place the product up on a table or nightstand and not on the floor.
What is a comfortable humidity level? Forty to fifty-five percent (40-55%) humidity is considered within the comfortable range. Any humidity level below thirty percent (30%) is considered dry.
Do I need to put in a certain type of water for my humidifier to work? You can use either distilled or regular tap water. If you have a high mineral content in your tap water, it may be preferable to use distilled water. Since distilled water is likely to contain lower mineral content than most tap water, it will prevent less build-up.
How long is the warranty? The warranty is 3-years limited. For detailed warranty specifications please refer to the warranty section in the instruction manual.

I love this humidifier! It is not bulky like some others. I just put it on the night stand and enjoy getting the nice moist air which helps me with my allergy. I am glad that I bought it.
I purchased one of these about 5 years ago for my desk. When my bedroom humidifier produced mold day after day and the cleaning took too much time, I decided to purchase this model. It looks the same BUT it puts out more mist and does not last through the night. It also has a light that illuminates the blue which lights up the bedroom - I like it dark. I put my desk humidifier in the bedroom and the new one on my desk - now everything is perfect. The silver technology is great - I have never had a mold issue with this humidifier.

Good size for the bedroom
This humidifier is a good size for the bedroom or a small living room. It works great, but you have to make sure that you keep it clean regularly otherwise it will start to smell. Additionally, the light is a bit bright to use at night in the bedroom. Other than that, we love it and use it during the winter when the air is a bit dry in our house.

Small, sleek and functional
Our family has used this humidifier for five or six colds already. Although the steam doesn't seem to have very far reach, it must be working since my throat always feels better and I have less coughing when using it on my nightstand. I've also noticed that we all seem to get over our colds faster, most likely due to the fact that it helps us sleep more comfortably when sick. It has been very valuable in helping our two year old toddler during colds. He used to wake up crying in the middle of the night since he would have such a hard time sleeping. With the humidifier, he's able to sleep through the night and just get better. I've never had another humidifier, so I struggled with giving this product five stars without being able to compare it to anything else. Overall, I think it functions well and it scores high points for being so sleek and pretty at the same time.
Happy with the product
Works well. Nice that there's no filter to change. I had the same product previously and after 2 years of use it shorted out. Liked it so much that I bought the same one again. Not sure how long they should last for, but 2 years of pretty heavy use seemed okay to me.

A Great Find
I have to admit, that when I opened the box and saw how small it was I thought I had made a big mistake. Buy, was I wrong! This is amazing. It sits on the night stand and since I can control the direction of the steam, it helps me breathe the entire night. I sleep up to 10 hours and it has never run out of water. It really was a great find and well worth the price!
Perfect tidy bedside humidifier
I wanted a small, relatively quiet bedside humidifier that didn't leave any residue, and this fits the bill. It is easy to fill, has a pretty blue light. Perfect for my needs. Liked it so much forked out for shipping to Canada, because couldn't find one here and alternatives did not match up. Only caveat - my first one lasted for three years, but maybe that's not too bad, from various reviews I've been reading.
Great Little Humidifier
This is a perfect, space-saving humidifier that really is effective. Easy to fill and maintain. Puts out the right amount of humidity that solves our wintertime dry air woes.
My wife wanted a vaporizer that would set on a night stand next to the bed. This fits the bill quite well. It's small and runs overnight easily on a fillup. Other reviewers have complained of it not misting after a period of time - we've ran ours every night for a month and have not experienced that.

tiny but fabulous!
I needed a humidifier for beside my bed. The air in DC has been especially dry this winter and my room humidifier just wasn't enough. I read the other reviews here first, and opted to try this. I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, and it was $50. Worth every penny. I noted that reviewer had commented that they didn't like the light. This sits right beside my bed on the table with my bedside lamp. There is a light, but, for me, its very subtle and doesn't bother me at all. This works. It runs all night, and then some, which was important, and helps me breathe through the night. Just what it was supposed to do. The brochure that comes with the product says it runs 6 to 10 hours on one tank. I can say that it must run at least 10. I leave it on all the time and I've never run out of water, and I refill it twice a day. I like it and I recommend it. oh.. one thing, the mist that comes from it is cool. You can feel a decrease in temperature if you keep it too close.

Ideal humidifier for the office
I use Germ Guardian H1000 TableTop Humidifier for my office. It is a cold mist humidifier and is very quiet. Additionally,it has a 'zen' flow of mist coming out that is very relaxing. I would recommend it for the work space.

Fantastic product, cheap, but highly effective
We had one, but had to return it because of a malfunction, BUT, Amazon was great about the return, and the product is GREAT, it looks great, works perfect and is the perfect size for my child's dresser top.
This unit is small, quiet, clean and it works!
The blue light is too bright for me, so I put a couple pieces of black electrical tape over the light bulbs and it still works fine.

Germ Guardian H1000 Table top humidifier
I was worried that this product would be too small to run through the night but it produces a good bit of steam and runs a good 9 hours before being depleted. The light is more like a soft night light and is not bothersome in the bedroom for example. Great product, works well.

Very quiet, love the light and mist, great value for the money
We purchased one of these for our daughter's room; she loves the light and the mist. She gets nosebleeds and this has helped her tremendously. It is quiet; the only time there is any noise is if there is water under the water reservoir. Then you have to empty it out, but since it is so small, it is not a pain at all. We just bought a second for the living room. We live in Colorado so it is very dry, it will run for about 8 hours before we have to refill the reservoir but you just pick it up from the top where it disconnects from the unit fill it at the sink and put it back, super easy!! We have none of the difficulties other people mention but I will update if we do! It also came with a 3-year warranty so I thought that was a good safety net in case something breaks. In addition, there are no filters to buy so in the end it would seem this one costs a little more up front but saves a ton by not having to buy the filters etc.

It's the best personal humidifier I've ever bought
It doesn't require a filter and it didn't require any "cleaning" until the end of the "season". I love the little brush it comes with to clean the metal plate and that was all I had to do after 3 months of use. I just pulled it out after storing it from the summer and it was all set to go!
I will say that how much water is used per night depends on how arid and dry it is that day. For instance, last week we had a few rainy days (we're in the Midwest)- it only emptied halfway at night so I didn't need to fill it for the following night. But, I know (from using it last year) that as we get further into the winter season, it will almost fully empty every evening. (About 8-9 hours of constant running.) But it weighs practically nothing and you can fill it up in your sink (instead of bending over a bathtub while it gets heavier and heavier like the large models). I sleep with it on the nightstand next to my side of the bed and never have any trouble at night throughout the winter with dry nasal passages, or dry throat or drying skin. I don't think it would work as much for an entire room, but it keeps the moisture right where you need it - next to you while you sleep. If you want a humidifier that is designed to put moisture into an entire room, you should buy a larger model humidifier. This is designed for just one person really. I do plan to buy two more of these when it's all said and done - one for my daughter's room and one for my desk at work. I do believe it is a tad expensive, so I will need to buy them at separate times, but I like it that much. (Really, it shouldn't cost more than $20 - $30 MAX!)
One last thing - I absolutely loathe humidifiers that you have to change filters or have to clean out the scaling that seems to happen. I'd much rather throw those away than reuse them the following season because no matter what you do - they will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER come 100% clean! The fact that I didn't have to do BARELY ANYTHING to this little gem (other than rinsing it out and using the little brush once in awhile) was the icing on the cake the for me.
I Bought Two, And I Love Them Both
I love these compact humidifiers, and have found they are the perfect solution to dry nose and contacts this time of year. I have one on my nightstand and position the cool, moist cloud drifting towards my face during the night. During the day, I have it placed near my desk where I work on an iMac all day. That said, if you're looking for a humidifier that will turn your home into the Amazon Rain Forest, this humidifier is not for you. I don't have a hygrometer and I'm not going to buy one. The proof of the product is that I can breathe easily through my nose and my contact lenses are not stuck like glue to my eyeballs. Ladies and elderly take note: The units are easily filled and will get you through eight hours. No more lugging clumsy, awkward multi-gallon tanks for me. Thank you, Germ Guardian.

Great for office desk!
I like this humidifier very much. I like it because it's small, quiet, and easy to fill. I bought it last winter to use on my desk at work. My desk is in a cube in a big room but if I position the humidifier within 2 feet of my chair it does a good job of preventing my eyes, skin, and hair from getting so dry during the winter months. I spend most of my day in front of my computer and if I have to go to a meeting I just turn it off until I come back. This humidifier is not big enough to provide any benefit for a whole room no matter how small it is. Even if I put it too far away on my desk, I won't feel the benefits. But up close it works great. It's a little loud when you first turn it on but it quiets down within a minute. I've noticed a little bit of white residue from the mist but mostly just on the outside of the humidifier itself and not enough to be a nuisance. It does blow cool air so sometimes I need an extra sweater when I'm using it but it's worth it. This was well worth the price for me.

It's a wonderful little humidifier! I keep it on the little side table next to the bed during the winter. It keeps the air humidifiedt perfectly during the winter months. It has a little silver disc in it so mold isn't ever a problem.
