Ultraviolet light technology, the same technology used in
hospitals and commercial settings for sanitizing, is capable
of eradicating microorganisms, mold spores and viral contaminants
from the air.
It is recommended that you leave the Germ Guardian™ UV-C
Room Air Sanitizer running continuously. A replaceable UV-C
light bulb is guaranteed to last 8000 hours - almost a full
year of continuous use. Over time with use the UV-C bulb will
lose some intensity approximately 15% at 9000 hours, therefore
it is suggested to replace the UV-C light bulb once every year.
