  • HOW IT WORKS:
    Why UV light technology?
    UV-C light technology is proven to kill common germs on surfaces, in the air and in water. It is highly effective at penetrating thin-walled viruses and bacteria known to cause: staph, pneumonia, tuberculosis, bronchitis and meningitis. The light alters the genetic structure of the germs and they die. Titanium Dioxide (Ti02) in the combination filter is activated by the UV light to help fight the growth of bacteria, germs and mold. It also decomposes odor molecules caused by smoking, cooking and pets.

  • Do I need to replace any filters?
    Yes. It is recommended that you change the HEPA and Charcoal Filter (combination, all-in-one filter) every 6-9 months depending on use to maintain an optimal level of air purification in your home.

    Where should I use the product?
    This product is recommended for indoor use only. Most people like to put the unit in rooms of their house where they spend the most amount of time such as the living room, bedroom and kitchen areas. It's great to have with you at work too.

    How long is the warranty?

works well.

I bought this unit in about April of this year. we have a rabbit and my daughter has a slight allergy to it. she also has a pollen allergy and gets sick quite often. I put this in a 10 by 12 room. she no longer has issues sleeping. if someone else is sick in the house I turn it on high and turn on the light to kill germs. I have the unit blow the air across the threshold of her room. she is not getting sick when she normally would if someone else in the home got sick.

THE BEST!

I live in California in the hills, so the wind and dust are constantly flying in around my house which started to causing breathing problems. I needed something that would clean my air as well as cool off my room. Well, I bought this machine and immediately when I turned it on my stuffy nose was cleared and the nights were cool. The only thing is it doesn't cool off the room like it first did when I plugged it in, so I'm wondering do I need to clean or change the filter.

Great for Smaller Houses

I received this as a Christmas gift and I love it. I wanted an air purifier as I have three dogs. Our house is smoke free and normally odor free but I wanted something that would help with the dog smell that comes with having a 90 lb. Labrador retriever. I set this up in my living room and immediately noticed a difference. I have not noticed any plastic or off putting smell coming from the machine itself as some users have found. I have not had any unpleasant odor other than just a clean house smell.
I would recommend this to anyone with a smaller house, I have moved it into my bedroom for a day or so and must say that I really like it. I might end up purchasing another at this price.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT

This product is absolutely brilliant! I have a bedroom in the basement and within 30 minutes of plugging it in, I could noticeably feel the difference in air quality and breathability. It is in my opinion the best looking air purifier on the market and is perfect for anywhere in the home. On the lowest setting the GermGaurdian sounds like a soft breeze and the background noise is very relaxing. Even on the highest setting it is only as loud as a normal house fan. I usually leave it on low for most of the day and my sinuses have remained clear ever since. There's even an LED indicator light that appears when the filter or UV light need to be replaced. This is a steal for $100 and I highly recommend this product to everyone out there!

Works Well & More Important - Works Quietly

First I have to say I've suffered from severe allergies my whole life. I've switched my home filters to MPR settings of at least 1000 & go so far as upper 1000's during the Spring. But no matter what, there's always rooms in the house that the filtering doesn't work. On the master bedroom side of the house, there is no intake for the central air system. I've used a few different air purifiers to offset this home design flaw. Of those, this is by far the quietest of any this size. The air pull is strong & you can tell it's doing the job after only a few hours of running. The extra UV light protection really adds to the value. Here, someone can limit the amount the of airborne bacteria, viruses, etc. During the cold & flu season, this will be a big plus. My only complaint is that the filter is replaceable. This is added cost you have to plan into the expense of the item every 6 months (approximately). I have a similar purifier that has a permanent filter that you clean with your vacuum. Though it may not be as effective, the convenience of not changing a filter is big. I guess changing a filter isn't that bad, as long as the purifier works.
