The 120-hour* Ultrasonic Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier guards against problems caused by dry air in the home. It features an easy to fill large 2-gallon tank, ideal for use in large rooms.
Cleanliness matters! Unlike other humidifiers that grow slimy mold on the water tank surface, Silver Clean™ Protection is embedded in the tank to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank. Thanks to ultrasonic technology, it disperses a fine warm or cool mist into the air, which can be extended using the wands. It is ultra-quiet making it ideal to have on while you sleep. Smart mist sensor monitors the level of humidity in the room and adjusts to your selected level.
The humidifier is equipped with an easy to use digital display, a night-light, timer and 3-speed mist control. A low water indicator light lets you know when it's time to refill the water tank. PureGuardian® humidifiers create a better home environment for those suffering from colds, allergies and dry skin. Order yours now!
Note: Run time is based off of running the unit on low setting and cool mist, also depends on atmospheric conditions.

The Guardian Technologies™ Pureguardian® 120-Hour* Elite Smart Mist Digital Ultrasonic Humidifier with Extendable Wand uses a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency to create water droplets that are expelled out into the room to help maintain the desired humidity level. An ultrasonic humidifier is virtually silent when operating.
Why should I use a humidifier? People need a certain level of humidity to be comfortable. In the winter, indoor humidity can be extremely low, and the lack of humidity can dry out your skin and mucous membranes. Low humidity also makes the air feel colder than it actually is. Dry air can also dry out the wood in the walls and floors of our houses. As the drying wood shrinks, it can cause creaks in floors and cracks in drywall and plaster. Dry air also increases static electricity.
Does the product require regular cleaning? Regular cleaning is recommended; approximately every 1–2 weeks (depending on use). When storing the unit, it is recommended to pour any excess water out and clean it with a soft, damp cloth. Let dry completely before storing.
Are there any wicks or evaporating pads to replace? No. There are no wicks or pads to replace.
What is ultrasonic technology? An ultrasonic humidifier uses a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency to create water droplets. Thanks to ultrasonic technology the Guardian Technologies™ humidifier is virtually silent when running, allowing you to keep it on while you sleep.
What is Silver Clean™ technology, and why is it used in your humidifier? Unlike other humidifiers that grow slimy mold and mildew, the Guardian Technologies™ PureGuardian®Ultrasonic Digital Humidifier uses Silver Clean™ technology embedded in the tank to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank.
Where should I use the product? It is recommended that you place the product up and not on the floor. Placing it on a table or nightstand during operation is suggested.
*DO NOT PLACE UNIT DIRECTLY ON CARPET, TOWELS, BLANKETS OR OTHER ABSORBENT SURFACES.
What size room will the humidifier work in? Thanks to the adjustable spray feature, this humidifier works well in both large and small rooms.
What is a comfortable humidity level? Forty to fifty-five percent (40–55%) humidity is considered within the comfortable range. Any humidity level below thirty percent (30%) is considered dry.
How do I choose warm or cool humidification? Choosing warm or cool humidification is based on your preference. Warm moisture tends to make the air in the room feel warmer due to the warm vapor being released into the air. In contrast, cool moisture generally has the opposite effect, causing the air to feel cooler.
Therefore, if you live in a warm climate, you may prefer a cool moisture humidifier, while those who live in colder climates may prefer a warm moisture humidifier.
Do I need to heat the water first if I want to have warm humidification? No. It is recommended to put room temperature water into the tank for humidifying. The Guardian Technologies™ humidifier will heat and maintain the water temperature for warm humidification.
Do I need to put in a certain type of water for my humidifier to work? You can use either distilled or regular tap water. If you have a high mineral content in your tap water, it may be preferable to use distilled water. Since distilled water is likely to contain lower mineral content than most tap water, it will prevent less build-up.
How long is the warranty? The warranty is 3-years limited. For detailed warranty specifications please refer to the warranty section in the instruction manual.

I use this humidifier in the winter when the heat that comes on in my apartment makes the air dry. I wake up with moist skin and my nasal passages are not as dry.

Love this product! I use it daily to help combat dry eye/mouth caused by medications. It's allowing me to breathe cool moist air too, which is great for my delicate sinus and nasal passages (a childhood accident required five surgeries to correct septal deviations)! As always, it takes some experimentation to decide the best location! This is my second Guardian in 6 years, and replaces one that finally succumbed to the stresses of extremely hard water! Looking forward to a longer life for this one thanks to the cartridge filter!

We searched for a while for a good humidifier for our room. We live in Chicago so it's quite dry during most of the year and we have a larger room with high ceilings. We love the way it looks, the way it operates and how well it humidifies our room. We are very happy with this product.

This is a great humidifier.
This is one of the best humidifiers I've even used. It's virtually silent even running on "high". The tall extender releases the mist higher into the room which makes it disperse more efficiently. Very easy to fill and no filters to mess with. I love it so much I just bought a second one for another large room.

Large Capacity and Great Extender Tubes
We replaced our furnace two years ago and added a whole house humidifier. But alas, it is too complicated to keep running and I don't think it was installed properly. Our house gets incredibly dry in the winter and it affects everyone in the family. We have small humidifiers, single gallon capacity, but you need to fill them at least once a day.
This is a great unit for many reasons. First of all, it is super quiet, whisper quiet. It holds a lot of water in an easy carry tank. It has this cool add-on of tubes that allow you to bring the mist up higher. This is great for helping it disperse before it hits the floor so quickly. And you can put the mist in two different directions.
The controls are really easy to use, humidity control, three fan settings, a night light, etc. Nice and clean design as well.

A step up in capacity, features, and price
This is a fine machine, but the list price appears to be inflated beyond reason. My 5-star rating is based on an expectation that this will settle into the $50-70 range that comparable products (including a few with similarly inflated list prices) seem to be selling forbright now.
We have a few vaporizers that hold a little more than a gallon, last all night, cost $30-$60, and are effective.
Comparatively, this one is better looking, and also effective. I do like the vertical extension, which is handy if you get a dry nose at night due to an overly de-humidifying HVAC system.
Ultrasonic humidifiers all function is essentially the same way. The one that you buy should be easy to use, nice to look at, and a decent value. I like this one, but there are many similar devices, and price was an issue at the time that I reviewed this product.

A humidifier for all seasons which works extremely well!
This is the ideal humidifier for a medium sized room. Very easy to set up as you put the unit under the faucet and put 2 gallons of water in it. There is a pop up wand which is adjustable so that you can vary the amount of spray which goes into the air. There are several settings which you can adjust to vary the speed and amount of water which enters the air. We live in the desert and in the summer it really is necessary to add humidity to the air as the drying effect of the heat makes it difficult to be comfortable, unless you really enjoy the over dryness feeling. It can run up to 120 hours if you set on low and add a minimum amount of moisture to the air. In the summer the problem with A/C is that you are removing moisture from the air, but for those who live where the climes are cold, adding moisture makes the heat used less. A good product and one that is sure to please.
Goodbye Sinus Issues
I have sinus issues. I'm in SoCal and we've had very little moisture lately. It's been incredibly dry and my sinuses have paid the price. I've been getting everything from sinus headaches to a bloody nose.
This humidifier is giving me amazing sleep and those sinus issues are getting to be history.
This is sleek, attractive, and best of all it works. The set up and use is incredibly easy. Now, it holds a lot of water (about 2 gallons), so may seem heavier when you fill it (compared to other humidifiers), but the capacity means that it can run a long time before you need to refill it. It's also got this great extender tube that you stick in the top of it. This allows the unit to release the mist higher in the air, really filling the room beautifully.
Now, it promises that it's quiet and it is! Nice for sleep as you can use the humidifier without disturbing anyone.
I'm extremely please with this! And my sinuses are very happy as well.

Meets My Needs
If there’s one thing I can stand about the winter, it’s all of the dry skin. OK, I don’t like a lot about winter, but the ugly skin is certainly a major issue. So, I jumped at the chance to try out this humidifier.
So far, I am a fan, mainly because it not only works well, but actually meets my needs. It has exactly what I want, all rolled into one.
First, it’s easy to maintain. It has a technology that allows it to stay mold and mildew free. That’s good because I don’t have time to worry about that. A full tank lasts about 120 hours. Again, I don’t have to mess with it very often.
Second, it has a large reach, which is important because I have large rooms. I've noticed that it does a good job in this regard.
Finally, it is quiet and the light is pretty dim. I am a light sleeper and this is very important to me. I could never use a product that keeps me awake at night.
It has two settings, but, like other reviewers have pointed out, the difference is subtle. To me, that’s not a huge deal, but it’s worth mentioning.
Overall, I'm a fan of this unit. It does its job as a humidifier and I give it five stars because it has what I’m personally looking for in a product.
